Mujde Temel grew up in Turkey, the daughter of professional parents (her mother was a school principal and her father was an engineer) After attending engineering college in Turkey and practicing Industrial Engineering in the food buiness there, she grabbed the opportunity to get an advanced degree at a US Collge in Virginia. She eventually received a Phd in engineering but work was not to be found.

Where she's located

Her marriage to an American fellow took her to Michigan where the only job she was able to land was a temporary teaching position. Talk about a blessing in disguise! She found that she not only had a love of teaching but quite the affinity for it. Her engineering and science/math skills paid off and she answered the call for a full time teaching position in South Carolina where she's filling the minds of the SC youth with math.
