Lizz Fabel loves to cook. So much, in fact, that she installed a commercial quality kitchen in her Franksville, WI home where she works as a personal chef, cooks for herself and her husband Paul, and offers cooking lessons for the lucky students in her home classes.
By day, Lizz manages an office in the 3rd Ward of downtown Milwaukee. By night and on the weekends, Lizz is a personal chef, cooking and then delivering a week's worth of custom created dinners for her customers. She prides herself on the meals nutritianal value as well as their excellent taste. Special requests like gluten or dairy free diets just add a little spice to the challenge.
Well seasoned food is a mantra for Lizz. She's not shy about adding the right amount if salt, tarragon or cumin if it's necessary and won't wimp out when it comes to the meal's flavor. Shes encourages exploring new tastes and using commonly available and, often, homegrown ingredients. Her garden hosts a wide variety of herbs and vegetables and she delights in the ability to step outside to grab a handful of parsley or swiss chard.
The following video describes some of her cooking philosophy. Enjoy it with a nice glass of wine.
